Running into your Ex Post-MFP?

There's a pretty boomin' thread on Reddit about people running into their exes post weight loss/muscle gain. Was it at a bar with their new "less-hot-than-you" SO? Did they get fat but keep wearing that shirt you bought them? Was your new, much hotter SO with you? Did they try to slide into your DMs?

Tell me the story about you being a boss queen!
Boys can play too - how did your inner prince strut his stuff?

Unleash your petty!

Not weight loss, but puberty hit me super late so there's a ton of former classmates from high school who have had some interesting things to say now that I'm a big boy.

Bitties, I don't play that game - if you ignored me when I wasn't 6'4 with face hair, you're getting the cold shouldies now.

I'd tap that at 4'6" with no hair, if you know what I mean

Not quite the same scenario but I did see a few of my ex's at my high school reunion last year. Sure was thankful to see none of those relationships lasted.

I only have had the reverse happen to me so far. Ran into my ex and HE lost a bunch of weight....looked good, I didn't really care.

The short and shallow answer? They'd let themselves go, badly. Like the "Hey what happened to Tiffany from high school, did you eat her? " kind of bad.

I'd probably take her out to lunch & catch up as friends. Things didn't end well between us because she was a bit psycho, but I had loved her & was going to propose before she lost her snit. It helped her get help in the long run, but it was the end of us. I still cared for her despite that & have no ill feelings toward her, so it would be nice to see how she is doing in life & make sure she's doing ok.
I'd like you for an ex.....I'm not psycho but I can be a tad crazy! I'd be your nicest ex GF ever (hugs)

My last ex I had was in high school and I live pretty far away from there so I haven't seen any of them, thankfully!

@rae1721 Aww, thanks. LOL And crazy isn't bad, it's usually fun, but unfortunately her's were legit issues & they really came to light at the wrong time or right time. If it had not happened how it did & when it did, I probably would have walked with her through getting help.

Not an ex as in someone I once dated, but my ex-roommate still lives in the same building as me and we have kind of the reverse situation going on - I've been gaining back and losing the same 10 pounds since he moved out at the beginning of the year, but he's been gaining...fast.

It's kind of cathartic in a schadenfreude-y kind of way - he was my single biggest obstacle with regards to my health; he always talked about how he wanted to lose weight but then never did anything to actually work toward it, never listened when I pointed out that a plate of fried chicken the size of one's head with oil pooling on the dish was not a healthy portion, and refused to respect me when I was making an active effort to actually get my own situation under control. Well, now we're seeing what happens when he's left to his own devices and I'm left to mine.

But at the same time, it's scary, because...if I'd let him keep living with me he probably would have dragged me into his bad habits eventually. He was trying after all.

I see one of my ex's often, he used to be a very good friend. I don't really care how he sees me anymore but I do look at him and hope he's happy because honestly he deserves it.

I wish I had a cool success = revenge story. I'm still friends with all my exes and I look pretty much the same as I always have.

I see my XH several times a week. He's supportive, even picks the kids up for me so I can go to a few short stint execise classes. I would do the same for him, if he asked or needed it.

I haven't run into any other exes though. There's only one that I would like to notice the changes. He can notice from across the street/room whatever, but I definitely don't want to talk to him.

I don't consider people I've dated casually an ex. And it never went beyond casual dating because of my Lupus and Alopecia. People are shallow. I will be starting treatment for my Alopecia soon. I would like to see those *kitten* after I'm back to normal. Tell them all to kiss my *kitten*.
