Fasted Morning Cardio question

For those of you who do fasted cardio in the mornings, do you do HIIT or steady state? I'm going to start doing it 3 times a week (and lift in the afternoons) so I am looking for opinions from those of you who do it - which is more effective? I know, in general, for fat loss, HIIT is more effective, but I'm wondering about fasted morning cardio.

    I struggle with this every morning. I've been able to get it done but nowhere near my goal. I've plateaued as of late and I need to mix things up.

    I do much better with the HIIT in the evening.
