Anyone have any healthy smoothie recipes they would like to share? I have been making smoothies for breakfast lately but I am stuck on my own smoothie recipe, which is good, but wanted more ideas.

Mine smoothie recipe is:

1 individual Greek yogurt, any flavor you want
1/2 c spinach
6-8oz unsweetened almond milk
1/2 c frozen fruit, any kind you want.

You could add some ice cubes as well if you wanted to.

I use 8oz Pete and Gerrys organic egg whites, a banana, 1/2 cuke, Olivias kale and spinach mix, as much as I can fit in and cinnamon

    Here’s mine:

-One scoop of protein powder - any kind (right now I’m using some vanilla flavor from GNC)
    -6-8oz almond milk
    -half cup fresh kale
    -half cup frozen fruit mix

Mine is complicated by the kefir.

    60 grams kale.
    4 oz whole milk kefir.
    30 g powdered peanut.
1 oz frozen berries. I'm using blackberries lately.
    1 oz hulled hemp seeds.
12 g Liv Fit Superfood Blend. This is industrial-grade vegetables. Organic, too.
    1 frozen banana.
    1 cup crushed ice.

This makes about 20 oz of thick and tasty high protein lots of nutrition and balanced fats smoothie. It's not for people who think a smoothie is something for anorexics. It's got 500 calories and plenty of fats, carbs, protein, and fiber.
I threw the recipe together because I was trying to find a way to use the kefir more quickly. The partner in this operation, the kefir grains, don't like the cold refrigerator so much and wants to be warm and soaking in fresh milk, which makes kefir.

I scoop ON vanilla ice cream whey, 1 cup frozen blueberries, 1/2 cup 2% milk, 1/2 cup Tropicana 50 OJ, no ice and add a little water if you want it thinner. 288 calories. If you cut out the blueberries and add 9 ice cubes, it doubles as an orange julius clone and saves 83 calories. I use to use yogurt and other add ins like flax and chia but right now I am just keeping the calorie count down.

For a killer chocolate covered cherry smoothie
1 C unsweetened almond milk (I use vanilla)
    1/2 frozen banana
1 C cherries (no sugar added)
    1 T chia seed
1/2 t ground flax (more if you like, I do often)
    1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder
Small handful of fresh spinach (I don’t use very much as it will change the taste)
I’ll add a pinch of cinnamon because it’s good for me but again, not much as it changes the taste.

If you like gingerbread, Oxygen magazine has a recipe for a delicious Gingerbread cookie shake: 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder, 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder, 1/2 cup vanilla enriched Rice Dream, 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt, 1/2 tsp ginger, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1 T molasses, and ice cubes. Blend and drink ! Mmmmmm

I also like a Creamsicle, which is a cup of orange juice (I get the Healthy kids kind with extra calcium and vitamins), half a scoop of vanilla protein powder (I’ve been getting spirulina), and a lowfat or Greek vanilla (or plain or coffee) yogurt. Blend and drink.

The Key Lime Protein Shake is blended with the juice of a lime, 2 tsp lime zest, 1 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder, 1 T coconut, a cup of milk, and 1-2 packets of Stevia (optional).

The Chocolate Maple Shake is made by blending a cup of milk, 3 T protein powder, 1 T cocoa powder, and 1 tsp maple syrup

Last but not least, for a change, I blend a cup of orange juice (I get the Healthy kids kind with extra calcium and vitamins), half a scoop of chocolate protein powder (I’ve been getting spirulina), and a lowfat coffee yogurt. Also good!
