My Weight Maintenance At 5'7''

I lost over 63 pounds eating 1,200 calories a day. I get cardio through cycling. 32 miles can burn 1,500 calories at an average of 12 miles an hour. I bike 25 or more every other day. Cycling with dieting takes weight off in all the right places. I didn't have to target any area of my body. My bad knees got so strong that I could walk again. (I need double knee replacement.) I can walk 4 miles easy today.

Now I maintain my weight between 137-142 pounds eating 1,500 calories a day and cycling. I still cycle every other day but I take time off when I need to. I walk for exercise too and will do some strength training soon. You can never be strong enough when you're older. I'm 63.

I still log my food although I'm not as strict as I used to be. It helps to stay accountable. I track my rides with Mapmyride and own a Fitbit.
