Were you happy with your shape/size when you hit goal?

Just wondering how many folks reached their weight goal and stayed there (approximately) or did you want to get smaller?

I was very happy, but I had lifted heavy the entire time. I am actually bulking now to get bigger, musculature-wise. I'm up 12 pounds, but still wearing the same clothes with no problem.18

Hum, well, since I've hit goal about 4 times over the last 5 years, and that "goal" number tends to change slightly every time, I'd say the first time I had a goal of 160 (from 193) and kept losing to 143. Decided when I got there, it was too thin, gained to 150 (but by then I was well out of control and didn't do the the things to maintain it), and have been every where between 165 & 147 in a 5 year span.
The scale said 148.4 on September 15th and I decided, this time, that's enough. I'm happy with that. Now to adjust my thinking on daily calories. Got so used to and "good at" keeping it around 1200-1300, that 1800 seems like a pipedream. LOL
My daily goal now for as long as I can humanly keep it up is to weigh daily and log food accurately.14 -
I was generally happy with my body size (I actually thought I was a little too skinny) but still wanted to improve body shape. Since then I've run several bulk and cut cycles (gaining approximately 10-15 pounds during bulks) and i'm now about 4 pounds heavier than my smallest weight and much happier with my larger thighs and glutes and smaller waist.19

I reached my goal of 165 and kept losing I'm almost at 150. My issue is if I eat at maintenance I feel like I ate to much trying to find the right calories to eat and not feel guilty. I still log and weight in every day6

I was pretty happy. After I reached my goal I set some fitness goals which included running and I ended up losing about 15 pounds more. I am really happy where I am now.8

I'm roughly 8lbs from goal; 13lbs from goal if I go for the extra 5lbs loss to help with my running. I love my new body. There's some flaws, but I have 2 kids and I'm almost 43---I'm pretty *kitten* happy with my results.
If I can maintain long term between 145-155 and keep up a good running regimen, I'll be thrilled.5 -
I was happy when I got to goal as that meant I had lost the fat I had kept hold of for 20 years but I was also disappointed that I didn't look a bit better.
So nibbled off a few extra pounds in a series of steps of slow loss, then maintenance and re-assessment over an extended period of time.3 -
I’ve hit my goal today! 120 lbs, I’m totally thrilled but, I’ve lost a lot of muscle and after 4 children my stomach area is a bit of a mess. I’ve been running about 4 months now and feel so much stronger already, just need to start building some more muscle...29

First time after losing my baby weight....no way. I was at "goal" but soft and my bodyfat% was high, it wasn't great. Since then I've been more happy with the results (lifting FTW!) and every bulk/cut cycle I get closer and closer. Hopefully I will be satisfied and be able to hang out in maintenance some day.7

I was ecstatic to get to scale goal weight, not happy with body composition, I had a severe case of the skinny fatness. Strength training has me 11 pounds heavier, about the same size, but definitely had to change styles of many clothes I used to wear like jeans for example.5

I was indeed very happy. Heck, once I reached a number in the top of the BMI range for my height, I was happy then too. I just wanted to be a little slimmer and settled for a ~20 BMI.1

Pretty much. I’ve got wrinkly skin, but that beats thunder thighs and a poochy tummy any day.....10

I didn't have a particular number as a goal. From an aesthetics standpoint, I went to maintenance when I was about 15% BF give or take as I'm lean, but not super lean and I look healthy and fit. Weight training was pretty instrumental in giving me the physique I was going for...I thought I was going to have to lose quite a bit more weight than I actually did to get the physique I was looking for...had I not lifted I would have never achieved the physique I was looking for regardless of how much weight I lost.1

thanks for all the input- I have been lifting around 5 years now (on and off, a bit less since I have been finishing school the past 2 years), but wasn't able to figure out the diet part until recently. I'll be interested to see what's under there! Aiming for the high end of my BMI at 140 lbs but it seems crazy since that's close to how much my 17 year old weighs and we are the same height.

I was not happy when I reached my goal. I am now working on toning the rough areas2

I was happy, had been at this weight years ago and remembered how well it fit me.2

General shape and size? Yes. Loose skin around my middle? Not so much.4

I was pretty happy. I picked a realistic target and felt great to get there. I got a little lower too which was nice, it gave me a little window to play with.0

Nope, I lost 14 Ibs from where I was in my profile picture and if anything I am more insecure about my body than ever. I think if one dips too low, it can mess with their head and perception. I am at the very bottom of BMI, at 18.5-18.7, yet I feel and perceive myself as being bigger than I was at 140 Ibs. It is not due to being skinnyfat or any such since I have been told my bodyfat is too low - I retained muscle from my intense training previously. So, in my case, getting to this magical goal I had set in my head has actually made me pretty miserable and very obsessive about my weight and size.14
