MFP and Fitbit questions

Hi guys. So my Fitbit is synced with MFP. It shows a calorie burn for steps taken. If I manually log my run in, will this give me extra calories burned? I don’t want to think I’m burning more than I am.
Also, I do walk/jog intervals. How should I log this manually? I have been using jog 5mph but that isn’t accurate as it gives me way too many calories burned vs what my Fitbit says.
Thanks!

Your fitbit recorded your running steps. It will sync to MFP.0

When you have them synced, you don't need to log any step-based exercise. You'll automatically get the adjustments.0 -
