Does time matter when you are trying to loose weight? I've heard different opinions about this. So I thought I'd post and ask. :)

Yup...millions of years of evolution has left us with having to eat at very specific times...really, we would have been extinct eons ago...

I kid...no...it doesn't matter. Outside of calorie counting a lot of people use meal timing and things like "don't eat after X'oclock as a way to control calories...that's it.

Eating on time is important ......... if you have an hour long appointment and you want your lunch first so you don't have a growling stomach the whole time. Other than that, meal timing is irrelevant unless you are a professional athlete or you find your satiety increases with the timing of your meals, enabling you to find it easier to stick with a calorie deficit.

I just find it easier to stay within my calorie range when I have a schedule, but it doesn't effect weightloss if you eat at like 10 pm instead of 7 pm or something

Only if it affects your satiety to the point where you end up eating too much. Otherwise, just eat whenever works for you.

Doesn’t matter what time or how many meals you eat - just matters that you hit your caloric goal set by MFP.

Personally, I try to have a routine going for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and after workout snack - but I also listen to my body for hunger cues. Sometimes I need a snack in the morning... other times I combine my dinner and after workout snack because I wasn’t hungry at dinner time. All your preference to meet your specific goals.

Provided you stay within your calorie goal, timing is irrelevant to weight loss.
