Anyone find true love on MFP?

I saw a few posts with people saying “they are so in love” with other people. Has anyone really found love on here or am I reading way to much into things?

I mean I’m single and looking but not sure if I should be looking on here but I hate dating sites and bars. Not to many options for me4

This is one big dog & pony show. The thing about shows like that, is that you really have to watch your step or it won't be love you're scraping off your shoes.5

I found my love of all the different flavors of oreos but that's about it.2

That's close enough for government work

Oh sure some have found love, usually with multiple posters all at the same time :laugh:10

I'm in love with all the food pics that people post. Does that count?1

Yes, because learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all.7

lmao.. This might be worse than a dating site. :laugh:4

I have heard of two couples who found each other on mfp and got married...Not sure that constitutes love, but there it is....But there is certainly no shortage of drama....2

I am with you both. I even write all our names together on my notebook with hearts around them.5 -
Go to the "Lessons I've learned on MFP" thread if you're still clinging to some kind of hope of finding love here, that should do it for ya. Unless you're like 'some' that likes to learn on their own for self growth purposes, of course, then good luck2

Isn't that what love is though...0 -
Ok so obviously the few posts about people being “so in love” were just for fun. I get that. I must really be dumb. Explains why I’m still single0

True. Moderns throw around "love" entirely too easily. It means nothing.2 -

I don't believe anyone who says they love me, until you give a kidney for me.2 -
I love old VW's, camping, fishing, antique books, 80's rock, old movies, sci-fi, and apparently long walks off of short piers...2

Kind of. Found a recipe for Jack Daniel's Chocolate Pecan Pie. Made it and I love it. Made my tongue hard.4

If someone says they love me for real, I won't believe it unless they're willing to sit through a Niners game with me. Now that is love.0

I'm sooooooo in love!
Really, there are about 4 MFPers that I adore. Adoration is close to love.1 -

I have my fingers crossed. That is something really mfp special.
Well I have asked you a hundred times to take a bath selfie with me but you refuse.0 -

I don't think you can fall in love with someone on MFP if you're not willing to meet IRL. Even after chatting for hours, days, months, even years. You can think you're in love and the potential for love could be there, but until you actually meet in person, spend a lot of time together, experience the 'this is the real me' vulnerability, actually touch each other, and physically and emotionally really get to know each other, you'll never know if what you're feeling is real love. Please don't do that to yourself.0 -
