Running

I'm new to the running game as well, it's been almost 2 months, even on the days I do it and I'm slugish I still get out there and fast pace, jog, repeat , I've never been able to run a full non stop mile in my life so the challenge is there, key is get up , do it, be consistent, my breathing is what I'm still trying to get in order but we will get there! Use a tracker and don't sweat time just focus on completion

Lots of people here have had success with c25k. I ran a mile for the first time in my life on my 61st birthday!

I started running last October at the age of 60. A friend of mine who is a Master Marathoner helps me with encouragement and tips. She said to run as far as I could and walk if I had to. So that’s how I started. Now I can run without walking.

I never imagined I would be able to do that....find a pace and just go. It’s exhilarating!

I’m not fast by any means, but for a girl who was built for comfort, not speed, I’m doing well. Competed in my first 5 k last March and finished with a PB of 34:06. I’m hooked now and signed up for a 4 mile the end of this month, and a 5 k the beginning of December!

It seems to me that you have a great attitude! Enjoy! :)
