I learned much about how many calories specific foods contain and about portion size. We're all still learning. Congratulations on your one pound loss. I started with 1/2 pound loss per week. Because of vacation, I fear I've gained some back but I'm on MFP again and I'll get right back into the program!

Tomorrow will be my 55th day and I've lost 17 lbs so far. I believe I was eating the right foods before mfp, even some days at a deficit. I just didn't pay that much attention to portions and ate out frequently on weekends.

I'm cooking more than ever, trying new recipes, and using measuring cups/spoons to figure out portions. This will change once my calorie deficit gets smaller and there is less room for error. Right now I'm just getting used to thinking about nutrition and fitness in a new way and watching the pounds melt away.
