What do people generally think about macros? MFP goes on percentages, so I am currently at
35% protein
35% fat
30% carbs

For fat loss, anyone think this should be different? What are your percentages?

For fat loss, look at the calories MFP gives you. Eating at a small deficit 200-500 per day, depending on your stats, is most effective for fat loss. Protein at 20-25% for most people is good to help retain muscle.

I think that for fat loss the main thing to do is make sure you stay within your calories given to you by MFP.

I also increased my protein percentages from what MFP gave me initially to 35% (had it at 40% for awhile but that was challenging on a daily basis and lowered it). It's definitely not required to eat that much protein to lose weight (fat) however I feel more satiated by a higher protein diet and I also lift weights 3-4 times/week which helps with not losing muscle mass while losing weight.

Put your macros to what works best for you I feel like!

Fat loss is entirely about the amount of calories you consume and what you're doing to prevent muscle loss (protein intake and strength/resistance training). I do fine with the default macro percentages...most days I hit over 100 grams of protein.
