Hm. Most people seem to be eager to embark on a new diet. But the good thing is that to lose weight, all you need is to consistently eat less. Any diet that lets you do that, works.

Hi Wilkins, congratulations on starting your health journey! Why have you chosen the keto diet in particular? I personally eat low carb (I aim for <50g carbs per day with an upper limit of 100g carbs/day), but not keto (<20g carbs per day). I love this way of eating but I will echo @kommodevaran and say that you can lose weight with any diet, so long as you eat fewer calories than you burn. Some people do well on reduced carbs, some people HATE it. Eating keto isn't straight forward (though I find low carb pretty simple!). If you've decided that keto is the way for you, then request to join the Low Carber Daily Forum (LCD Group). It's a closed group so you need to request to be added, but it's a very friendly and helpful group!

Been fat-adapted for about 2 months now. Started keto/if 3 months ago. I’m usually around 25 net carbs per day and 200+ fat and ~110 protein. It’s a great way of eating for long term health.

Why - how? If you're overweight, you need to eat less. It's hard enough to eat less; changing completely how we eat is extremely difficult unless done right, not to mention it's usually completely unnecessary. You are not eating "bad", you have food preferences and eating habits, that overall, over time, may or may not be optimal for you.
    and consuming to many carbs
How did you come to this conclusion? If you're overweight, you've taken in too many calories. Carbs has calories, but so has fat and protein. You need to get enough fat and protein - carbs are technically optional, but foods that contain carbs also contain nutrients that we need, and they're often delicious - but not too many calories. There are so many relatively easy ways to achieve this, that deliberately choosing a way that you think looks hard, even before you begin, is, well, a bit stupid. Hip and trendy, we've all done it, but still stupid.

If you log your food intake in your food diary and hit your calorie goal every day, you can eat whatever you want and lose weight.
