I've a question about how to calculate the calories of a thing.

So, I prefer to grind my own espresso beans. And often when I do I'll grind various tasty things in with it. My current obsession is slivered almonds. I know there are a lot of calories in nuts, but how would that translate to an espresso brew?

Does that actually work?
The only potential significant source of calories any fat from the nuts. If you're brewing through a filter, then it likely would be negligible. If you're pulling directly through an espresso machine, it's probably still negligible since oils are generally in the 100 calories per tablespoon range.1 -
Appreciate the info. And it does work, about a 50/50 ratio with the nuts makes such a tasty smooth blend.2
