Has anyone been able to consistently lose weight by putting in your goals for 1 pound per week? I am moderately active and had put in 2 pounds to lose per week but can't control my eating enough. Was thinking if I went to the 1 pound weight loss that it might be easier. Right now I am 217 pounds, 5' 8", slightly active (nurse). It was giving me around 1300 calories but now if I put it to 1 pound a week I get a little over 1800. Realistically, will I lose the weight. Sounds like a lot of food! I try to exercise when I can which might be 3 times per week.

Yes, you will lose weight set at 1 lb per week. So long as you stick to your allotted calories, it will come off.2

What can you do to increase your activity? Walking adds up. I go take walks on my breaks and lunch at work and go somewhere to walk after work. Even parking way out in the parking lot at a supermarket and walking all the aisles adds up.0
