I've decided to try the support thing here...not cause I feel like I need it to lose the extra pounds, but because I like to talk about food. :-). And I'm interested in like minded friends on here.
Please, no judgments. I don't judge others for how they eat. I'm looking to add friends that agree with Michael Pollan and/or French Women don't get Fat author Mirelle Guiliano and/or the slow food movement. I also can relate to most pescetarians, vegetarians, and some vegans. I'm not however vegetarian or vegan, but do eat a pescetarian or vegetarian diet about 360 days of the year. But most important for me is high quality, really good food. This includes organic food...again please no judgments. Within that however, I'm actually not picky. I'll eat almost anything. Meaning, my problem is not with french fries or hamburgers, but where they came from and what is in them. Still, within that criteria, I eat a mostly plant based diet...vegetables, fruits, nuts, whole grains, organic dairy or non processed cheese, sustainable fish, and beans. Organic, grass fed beef or organic poultry rarely.
Exercise wise I'm a little lazy...and yet still active. Kind of like a french woman. I prefer fun activities rather than working out at the gym, even though I belong to a gym. Meaning, I'd rather be swimming in the ocean and jumping waves then doing laps at the gym pool. Or, I'd rather rent a canoe or kayak and be in the sun paddling with an iced latte, then be on the rowing machine. Or, I'd rather be dinng at a foodie type restaurant trying new things. The rest of the time, give me a good book or trash tv and a bottle of wine.
I'm female, early 40's, happily married, 2 dogs (who I feed more meat to then I will ever eat again), and like fashion. I've never been an emotional eater and never been overweight according to any charts, but did put on a few pounds from drinking wine...half of which are already off. I'm generally happy and try my best not to contribute to anyone else feeling anything but happy also.
If anyone can relate, please friend me.
