Is it normal when starting to work out for some exercises to cause you to get light headed and slightly dizzy? I can walk and slow jog on a treadmill and bike at a reasonably fast pace but if I try to do 10 min of stair climbing this happens. I haven't passed out or anything and it does go away...

You need to make sure you are hydrated, and you are not hyperventilating while you are working out. Slow controlled breathing is important.0
