US Navy Body Fat Calculator accuracy?

I have no Dexa scan places in my area, so I'm trying to figure out how much fat I've lost since starting my new workout program 2.5 months ago. I have only lost 3lbs scale weight in that time period, but lost 4.5 inches overall.
I am 39, 5'3 and currently 140lbs.
The Navy calculator based on my measurements is showing me as having gone from 32% body fat to 28% body fat.
It also says I am -7lbs of body fat and +4lbs of lean mass. Is this possible in 2.5 months? I workout 30 min a day, 5 days a week doing P90X3.

No internet BF% estimator is accurate.1

Ok, I have a caliper and that doesn't seem accurate either, or I just can't get decent measurements....0

None are accurate, even DEXA has a margin of error. Just be consistent when you measure so at least you can gauge the trend.0

Ok, I was more just interested because I am not losing much scale weight, but consistently losing inches.1

Sometimes our losses get masked by water weight. Especially where you're working out.1 -
Yea those internet calculators aren't that great.
Do you have progress photos to compare? Losing inches is a great sign. Using the scale, measurements, photos, the mirror, how your clothes fit, gym progress.. etc. These are all great ways to measure results.
I would keep on keeping on.1 -
It's not accurate for me.0
