Banana Bread

Hey everyone! I love baking. Like, I LOVE baking & baked goods. I found this gluten free, lactose free, super healthy banana bread recipe the other day, and I wanted to share it with you! I gave it a try, and plugged the recipe into MFP recipe tool, and it came to 223 calories per serving! One serving was enough to satisfy me for breakfast today :)

2 cups rolled oats
3 ripe bananas
2 eggs
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp baking soda

Makes 6 servings.

Pulse the oats in a food processor until they are more like oat flour, add all the other ingredients and blend until combined. Bake at 350 degrees until done. This recipe made 3 small loaves, and I ate half of one for breakfast this morning. Yum!!

    Yum! I actually made some banana bread last night and your version is waaaay healthier LOL. I plugged my recipe in MFP, and my little slice this morning was 315 calories. Groan!

    We've been in an apple/banana bread kick over the past few weeks (we were in the mood for banana bread and also needed to burn through a bunch of apples we got at the orchard). It's basically banana bread with little pieces of caramelized apple throughout. So good, especially with peanut butter and jelly.

    Hey guys! This recipe makes 6 servings. My loaf pans were pretty small and it made 3 loaves, but if I used my standard loaf pan it probably would have only made one loaf. I like rolled oats in the mornings because they fill me up for hours!!

    Come on... you lied a bit there didnt you :)

    Nope :) I had half a loaf this morning and a large mug of tea and I was good to go!!

    I tallied it up. She's right. It can be made lower cal yet. Use just the egg whites or use with flaxseed eggs.
