I everyone,
I am trying to compose a daily food intake to achieve my goals but I mainly eat Carbs and Fat but too few Protein...
I am 132lbs for 173cm and involved since September in a Novice Linear Progression to gain strength from the Starting Strength method.
The Goal is :
- Protein : 1G/Pound : 130G
- Carbs : 1G/Pound : 130G
- Fat : 0,33G/Pound : 40G
Actually I eat something like :
- Protein : 69G
- Carbs : 155G
- Fat : 61G
Calorie intake is around 1500 per day.
I'd need a solid base of aliment to eat daily then add some diversity from there depending on my mood ...
Thank you =P

What/how you eat is actually more balanced and healthy than the goal you are aiming for. Just make sure you're eating varied, and you're golden.1

Alright buddy.
Thx for your feedback.
Are you sure I get enough protein ?
Actually I'm trying to drink 1L Goat Milk per day as a supplement to gain weight. Because I didn't grow at all during my 1st Starting Strength month. I've made big jumps, gained muscles but I'm really fit therefore I've quickly began to stall. So I've added milk and eggs in my daily routine which already made my progress easier.

If you want to gain weight you have to set MFP to weight gain, not weight loss. I didn't actually pay attention there! Not that it matters to you, because your goal is weight gain, but for reference - 1500 calories is the minimum amount MFP will give a dieting male, and it's only suited for elderly, short and sedentary.
The amount of protein is on the low side, but not extreme. If you up your calories, protein will naturally follow.
If you like goat milk, drink it. But one thing to have in mind, is that no foods have magical properties - you just have to eat more, and whatever you can keep eating (or drinking), is good for you. I'll be repeating my "variety" advice, but it's quite important that you don't let any food crowd out other foods. You need a wide range of nutrients, and you can only get that through a wide range of different foods. This will also prevent boredom, which is a real threat to any plan.2 -
if you want to gain weight (which I think is what you are asking) - you need to up your calories - at nearly 70", 132lbs you are likely underweight and 1500cal a day which is the lowest for a male, is just going to continue to exacerbate that.1

The big question is what protein sources are easy to find where you live. All the meats are good.1

That's right. I'd like to gain weight in order to gain strength when 1500cal per day is actually leading me the other way. I've changed it myself as MyFitnessPal did want me to consume 3500cal or so per day. Uh ... My mistake.
Sure, all meats are good.
I'll try to eat more of it.
I am not underweight according to the french standard but it's true that 1500cal would have been a nightmare as according to MyFitnessPal I was going to weight 10% less in a week xD
I totally agree with this "Variety" principle.
Okay, I'll keep eating more (Quantitatively & Qualitatively speaking) to reach my target. Oh it's a real pleasure to be able to eat practically whatever I want ! What's hard is actually... Over eating ^^ But I won't complain.
Thanks everyone for your reply(ies).
Wish you the best.2 -
what is the french standard?
because you are 7" taller than me and weight 15lbs less - i'm in the barely overweight category per BMI for my height1 -
173 cm (5'8) and 60 kg (132 pounds) is BMI 20. I don't think there is a French standard, BMI is international.2

My mistake again... ^^
BMI is international. But no one ever told me I had to think about gaining weight (Not even doctors & Co).
Maybe it's the same for you, Dean.
Barely is ... not alarming. Let it be Over or Under weight. Plus standards are ... standards.
For the average dude, I mean.
When being average is actually the exception...
Thank you Guys.0
