Are you eating at a deficit? That's really the only method.2

Log your food. Measure your portions -- do not estimate. Use measuring cups if you must -- way way way better than guessing -- or use a food scale to be bulletproof. Almost everyone is VERY BAD at estimating portion size accurately enough to establish a meaningful calorie deficit. I don't deny some unicorns out there are good at estimating, but don't assume you're one of them, especially if you're not losing weight the way you expect.4
