I had a Taylor Nutri-Weigh 1450 for years and now it won't turn on -- I purchased one locally but it sucks!
I can weigh something that is 20 grams and then if I leave it the scale moves up and down! Shoot it's like my bathroom scale

Looking for something accurate and without too many bells & whistles. The Taylor had a ton of features I never used but it was more accurate then anything else I have used.

Check your batteries before you get a new scale. Dying batteries always cause wonky weights with my scale.

If you decide to get a new scale I strongly recommend the MyWeigh KD8000 from greatscales on ebay. It goes up to 17# which is very handy for weighing full recipes in the pot. The top is stainess steel, which is handy if the pot it hot. It has all the usual features like tare, and ease of switching between grams and ounces. They have a great warranty, but you have to keep the box to return it.

I used to have a small soapmaking business, so had one for the house and one for soap. I eventually killed the soap one by spilling hot soap batter, but the one in the house is going strong after at least 10 years.

This is mine and I love it because it has a large display and a large platform so I can put my big mixing bowl on it if I need to.
