As a 19 year old male who is roughly 156 lbs. and 5'6" tall, would this be a good amount to lose steadily? Keeping in mind I'm also currently doing Insanity: Asylum.

I've been trying 1600, but the fact that I'm nearly dead towards the end of the day leads me to believe that's nowhere near enough.

    Yeah
  • Your BMR is ~1750/day so you should be eating at least 1750 calories. If you're moderately active your body prob. uses between 2600-2800 calories a day. If you eat between 1850-2000 every day you'll still lose weight (1.5lb/week). Don't go over 2000 calories more then once a week (maximum intake of 2500 calories on a day where you exercised).
