Hi......I use both MFP and SparkPeople.

Starting over, reset my weight.
MFP says 1350
SP says 1530

I know it's not much by why the difference??

Anyone ever run into this before and researched it??
Just curious.....
Thanks in advance!

I used spark people previously, but never at the same time. I'm curious as to the replies!!

I believe SP includes exercise but MFP expects you to add it separate - so if you exercise at all they're pretty much the same.

With SparkPeople you don't eat exercise calories back. MFP, you do.

SP gives a range, actually, not a set number. It'll give you an upper and lower range. Mine, for example, is 1500 to 1800. It also does add exercise calories so that you can eat them back. I tested it out.

I haven't been using SP for logging (just kinda kept it around for the fun and social aspect). I've included a screenshot from my SP page.

Yes - exactly - SP includes exercise in your calories but MFP does not - you add them separately on MFP. That's why the numbers are different but really the same once you include exercise with MFP.
