I'm really struggling to find a sensible calorie goal. I lost loads before doing the recommended 1200 but I've put in loads of weight on since and don't find it sustainable. I'm 5ft5 and 11st 7. Want to lose weight 1to 2lbs a week. Any ideas please?

What did this website give you as a calorie goal when you set your weight loss to 1 lb per week?

Don't worry about everyone else's calorie goal - that has absolutely nothing to do with you and your circumstances. 1200 isn't recommended unless you're very small, short or old - it isn't a very good choice for most people. Put your info into MFP - pick a reasonable goal - like 1lb a week - what does it give you? Eat that PLUS exercise calories.

To lose 2 Lbs per week, you need a daily calorie deficit of 1,000 calories...you're female and depending on your line of work, you're likely to get 1200 with a 2 Lb per week loss as that would estimate your non-exercise maintenance level to be around 2,200.

Your options are to select a more reasonable rate of loss and/or to move more.
