Hi! I am brand new to MFP and I’m here because my doctor advised me to switch from Weight Watchers to MFP. I lost 24 pounds with WW but I started having some scary health issues that my doctor feels may be a result of some of the point friendly food choices (low fat, non fat, or sugar free). She wants me to concentrate on calories and nutrition. So, here I am.
I still have 60 pounds to lose, and I’m hoping to see improvements in my health.
I’m 35, I have PCOS, I have bad feet, and I have had a hysterectomy less than a year ago, & a host of other blood work and heart issues. I need this to work for me and I need to work for it.
I’m really looking forward to the change, and I’m looking forward to the support. I made a lot of good friendships with WW and I do credit that support system for the success I had.
Anyway, I don’t want to make this too long so Hi!

I joined WW 2013 and have lost 178#.
The food choices on WW never mandated Low Fat FF or SF. I have been off all Rx meds for Type 2 Diabetes with my healthier food choices and exercise.

I’m on MFP and WW Connect for the on line support, When WW closed their Community Bull Boards in favor of Connect some on line WW groups went elsewhere.

WW Guys on a Diet (GoaD) is a Group here on MFP and FB. (Yes there are female “guys”). There are some who use just MFP, some who are only WW and some dual track calories and SPs.

Check out the GoaD board we are a low key, no drama group that discusses WL.

    Welcome to MFP!

I have been using MFP for well over 3 years and have lost 53 pounds. Because I have been stagnant for about a year despite all efforts of change, I switched to WW online. I have just ended my 4th week averaging a 1 pound loss a week. I am loving Connect especially food ideas and super support as I think part of my issue was food boredom and not really feeling supported here...a few groups I belonged to disappeared. I am still relatively low carb, limiting the fruit, and staying away from high point/calorie choices.

I credit my discipline and patience to being with MFP for so long. I still log in here, and sometimes track my food here as well. I was hesitant about WW because I have joined/rejoined a million times in my lifetime, but I really needed a change and am glad I made it.
