This is so true. Great post. I'm still logging after I hit my goal weight because I do not want to start over.2

This is a "me too" thread. I did so good and lost 50 pounds and little by little I have put 27 pounds back on. It is not so much the food but the combination of fewer running miles and too much beer, scotch & wine. I let the Scotch bottle run out last night and will attempt to avoid the after dinner beer(s) tonight. The wine I plan on keeping for now and hope to hit 25 miles this week. I also plan on doing the gym every other day and restarting my daily plank routine. Man, I forgot how hard I had to work to get the weight off the first time. To the OP, we are all with you!2

That is tough. I find logging food so mentally draining...I'm hoping that I won't have to do it forever, but is there any way around it??
I don't mind logging at all, but I don't plan on logging during maintenance. I've got a range in mind and plan to weigh myself regularly (I haven't decided how often, but at least once a month). If I get out of that range, I'll cut back. We'll see.0 -

I had similar feelings about logging. My suggestion would be to pay very close attention to what you are eating while logging. Not the numbers, the food. The portion sizes, the types of food, what keeps you full and what does not, all of it. If you want to stop living by the numbers then you need to learn how to eat proper amounts without knowing the numbers.2 -

I hope it works for you. It clearly didn't for me. My "light on the data" approach was a complete fail, a victim of my natural laziness and lack of discipline.
That said, whatever opinions I have about post-goal-weight strategies I will keep to myself until I am actually in that state once again.0
