Cheap yet effective home gym for arm strength

I'm looking for a home gym mainly to work on strengthening my arms and legs. Do you guys have any reccomendations that aren't too expensive? Thanks!

Go to goodwill and buy some 10-25 lbs dumbbella.

And if Goodwill is out of the budget, use household objects.
Milk or detergent jugs filled with water, grocery bags filled with books or canned goods, filled suitcases, etc, etc.

You can also follow a body weight routine like nerdfitness.

Whatever you want to do, find a programme and follow it consistently until it becomes too easy, then find another.

There is a good thread in the 'gaining' forum 'which lifting program is best for you' a read of that should point you in the right direction.

    Cheers, h.

Kettlebells aren't really expensive and most routines work arms and legs at the same time. If those ate out of your budget - stairs work wonders for leg strength and dumb bells (or a homemade equivalent - just be sure the weight won't shift) for arms.

Look into body weight programs such as You Are Your Own Gym.
Push ups, dips, pull ups, squats, lunges, etc. are a good place to start.

^^^^^ Exactly. Push ups, pull ups, dips, body squats, lunges, dips....all amazing exercises. For anyone and everyone. Yet, so few of us do them.
