How does one know how much protein, carbs, fat, sodium, iron, etc... is needed in ones daily intake. Have read so many different things that I am more confused than when I started. Please tell me How Much....

I just started with MFP's defaults and then adjusted them after I was logging for a while and gained some insight on what worked best for me.2

I do things by gram per lb of lean body mass (or estimated).
Pro: .8 -1.2g
Fat: .35 to .6
Carbs: Rest
Fiber: 20 - 40g
Sodium: Don't track, but I get 4 to 5k (I am active so I need more sodium/electrolytes).1
