We are going out for Chinese tomorrow for work. I always get stir fried mixed vegetables.. would it be safe to get just the mixed vegetables and NO rice? I'm thinking of saying lite on the sauce too.

How about you get what you like and not worry about it for that day0

Honestly, the rice is probably the healthiest thing at a chinese restaurant. The stir-fry may have veggies, but you have no way of knowing how much oil was used to cook them and how much sugar is in the sauce.
I agree with the other poster, just try not to worry about it and don't go overboard0
