I am a type 2 diabetic started 3 years ago at 330 pounds got myself down to 260 took me a year. Since then I have been to 290 and back down to 265, now back to 287? I know I can do this by myself! I always want to help others and this is where I fall off the wagon. I need to find someone who needs me to help them lose weight and get healthy? Strange i know!

Not so strange. It's often easier to help others than to help oneself. Taking responsibility for oneself means saying no to others sometimes, and that can feel unpleasant. It can also feel scary to commit and take a chance - what if you fail? If you don't try, you won't succeed, but you can justify it - at least you didn't fail. But you can turn it around - if you don't try, you're guaranteed not to succeed.
And then there's the purely logical/mathematical issue of a smaller body needing less fuel.1
