meal replacement shakes

I have recently stopped eating breakfast and switched to a meal replacement protein shake. I used to eat an omelette with veggies (peppers onions and tomatoes) and a bowl of oatmeal. the protein shake has 134 less calories, 6 extra g carbs, 16 less g fat and 1 less g protein than my normal breakfast. this is my second day having the shake for breakfast. the problem is I feel like I am about to starve come lunch time though not quite as bad as yesterday. I am just wondering if I should tough it out for a week or 2 or go back to eating breakfast like normal.

If you can, you could try going a week and seeing how you feel. You may find your body just needs time to adjust to a different amount of food in the morning. You could also add in a snack between meals to tide you over :)

im not big on snacking since my breakfast and lunch are less than 5 hours apart. Im going to stick with it for the rest of the week and see how I feel. may try egg whites instead of whole eggs if I don't do the shakes next week

just eat regular food and come in under your calorie goal...

My dad trying doing two protein shakes a day..he lost weight but felt like crap = dizzy, no energy, etc...then he stopped the shakes, guess what? He gained all the weight back..

Now he just eats less and moves more and has had great results...

I try to have a protein shake every day as well, but I don't replace a meal with it. I LOVE my protein shakes that I make with Body Fortress, almond milk, flax seed, and fresh fruit. They are so good that I have them as my evening dessert. I do seem to lose faster when I have the a protein shake each day, even though I'm not reducing my total caloric intake.
