Any one have a favorite pair of bike shorts? As I rack up the miles, I definitely need a better pair with better chamois .

I like Pearl Izumi P.R.O. shorts. They served me well on a 6-day cycling tour. I have heard Louis Garneau makes a good pair as well. They are pricey.

Well I can't help out for women's shorts ,,, but in terms of the guy's shorts ...

I've got a few different ones - first pair was Pearl Izumi Quest (6 panel); then I bought Canari Velo Gel (8 panel) - but then I found Sugoi RS Short (Fall 2011, 10 panel) - ended up with two pairs of those. They retailed at $130, but I got them from "The Clymb" for $40 each. For me in terms of comfort, the more panels the better. The chamois was good in all of them, no one was better than the other. Really never got that "diaper" feeling in any of them. The Sugoi is my recommendation for my type of riding (generally flat 15-25 mile per ride range).
