Android app- how to send friend requests?

Does anyone use the Android app and know how to send friend requests? When I'm on the person's profile, I can only send them an invite... Is that the same thing?

    How do you get the Android app? I tried to get an app but Google only had an IPHONE app for MFP.

    I have it on my android phone and got it thru google play on my phone. Maybe try again.

    Thanks for the reply, sorry was it a yes to my question of invites and friend requests being the same thing? This app is different from using the actual site!

    Tap on the person's user name, this brings up a User Card, tap on the username again and then tap on add as friend.

    I did just try that and it didn't work for me, still got the invite option... Mind messaging me and walking me through it?
