Hey quick question, I've been eating chicken, rice and veggies for my meals and I'm getting about 2000 calories. My estimated calories to lose 2 pounds a week was 2300. But I'm losing close to 9 pounds a week. Is this okay? I don't feel bad or am I hungry I'm actually full.

Probably okay for the first week -- it'll mostly be water weight. Not so great for the long haul, though.

Look into variety if you want to make this a real attitude change. Beef, pork, peanut butter, real milk, eggs and whole grains are all your friends.

How long have you been doing your plan? Many people get an initial water weight loss when they start a calorie deficit.

You'll get a better picture of your rate of fat loss by excluding those first few weeks from your rate of loss estimation.

    Is this your first week?

I would have been bored of chicken and rice by day 3.

Agreeing with those saying it's fine for the first week due to water weight losses.

Anything ongoing? That would be troubling.

I also agree with those suggesting that you think about expanding your repertoire, depending upon your personality. Some people thrive on a diet of the same food repeated over and over again, while others struggle with compliance issues if food choices become boring.

You’re lucky! Can’t even lose a pound on 1300lb diet. Had to cut it to 1250
