How do you all get the will power and motivation? I want to lose about 20 to 30lbs but do not have motivation to work out I hate goin to the gym when other people are around. I am working on eating better. What suggestions easy workouts do u all have for workouts at home.

I like strength training (the weighted machines) rather than anything cardio, myself. Can do a lot in an hour at the gym, and it goes by super quick since you are only at each machine for small amount of time! For at home, I'd suggest getting some hand weights and just... Moving. Doing something. There are lots of workouts on youtube for at-home stuff.

I like to say it is 90/10 for diet/exercise, though. More than anything, you need to get the food part under control for weight loss. You can't outrun a bad diet - the moment you take a breath, the surplus returns.

My husband (at the time) told me, “you know what, stop complaining and do something about it!” He told me it obviously makes me very unhappy and that it’s completely within my control to get up and go to the gym. He was right. I just got up and went. I finally saw it as simple cause and effect, like getting my butt off the sofa and doing a load of laundry.

Thank you for actually taking his advice. I can't even count the amount of people I've given up and told that to who have complained to me! Drives me batty. "Just Do It" - Me, not Nike. D<
