I like a freshly blended protein shake. What’s the best way to make one on the go?

Never had one not made in blender with ice that I could tolerate.1

Blender Bottle makes a bottle that holds your protein in an attached compartment until you're ready to use it. Alternately, just put a scoop of powder in a plastic container or bag and dump it in your blender bottle prefilled with liquid.0

I have a Tupperware blender bottle, but I use it as a measure cup to get 8 oz of water. I spoon my powder into the measured water and use a fork to stir. It's easier to lick the goopy protein off the fork than off the blender bottle parts.1

Since I have lunch at work 5 out of 7 days, I bought a Nutri Ninja blender and keep it there. I also keep my protein, veggie, & phytoberry powder there along with some frozen strawberries or blueberries. Smoothie for lunch every day.
Very very easy to clean.... in and out in a minute or two.
I'm a creature of habit and consistency keeps me sane and on track.1 -
I make mine right before i leave for work....i use 2 scoops of whey/8oz of 2%milk and a cup of frozen strawberrys and a cup of berry medley and it comes out thick and will stay ice cold for a few hrs in my shaker bottle0

I ended up getting a cheap hand blender like this and leaving it at work for this type of situation. It works reasonably well with ice. Better/stronger/powerful ones probably work better, if that's a concern.

Another plug for the Blender Bottle -- when I have protein shakes I'm usually having them at work and I find it easy-to-use, very portable, and easy to clean. I notice I have several co-workers who use them too.0

Walk to Starbucks, get a strawberry smoothie with extra protein.0

Just keep an extra blender bottle and a container of your favorite whey at your desk.0

I was going to suggest a hand blender like @jjpptt2 mentioned. They're also nice to have for pureeing soups, which makes your soup creamier without adding cream. You might wind up needing one for home and one for the office Personally, I mix my protein powder in yogurt rather than making a shake, so you could try that route if you get tired of shakes. It gives you a bit of extra protein, and no blender required.1
