I'm not saying keto ice cream is a bad idea, but I'm laughing so hard at the product description and "fat-burning ice cream."

    So we can expect ice-cream that is made out of full fat cream, nuts, avocado, coconut and oil. And then it'll be sweetened with monk fruit. Interesting -eyeroll-

    This is like the Snack Wells of keto. They mentioned the "end of the low- fat craze" or something like that. Helloooooo you're doing the same damn thing. Just at the opposite end of the spectrum.

    Even as a non-ketoer, I don't think it truly is a fad diet (it serves a real purpose), but it certainly is exploitable as one. It hurts to think of how many poor ignorant *kitten* are going to fall for this marketing and then come to MFP asking how they gained weight when they eat bacon, cheese and high-fat ice cream all day.

    Eta I also went to their Facebook page and nobody is challenging them on this. It does seem that there was another working name at one point? Or maybe it's another product? But there are images and links titled "Binge" and "Binge Creamery." These people are doing it wrong. So very, very wrong.

    I emailed them and asked them just how exactly their ice cream burns fat. If this ever goes through, there's going to be a lot of disappointed people who binge on this actually believing the fat-burning claim and getting nowhere - or bigger.

    Honestly, I'd probably buy some, and perhaps back the kickstarter if they didn't straight-up lie in their advertising. I bet it's amazing.

    "ultra high calorie ice cream" sounds more accurate. It's also the complete opposite of "fat burning" for literally anyone else not doing keto.

    So, the ads from Rebel Creamery are back in my facebook feed. They're still using "fat-burning" in their marketing so I just reported it as a scam. :tongue:

    Anyway, if you're interested, the kickstarter is up and they're taking pre-orders. :unamused:
