Hello all,
My name is Nicole and I reside in the sunny state of Florida. I am not new to MFP but I am starting on it again after a long separation from it. Things this past year have been hard. In October of last year, I was diagnosed with a rare medical condition that unfortunately has no cure. Losing weight and maintaining is the ONLY way to prevent this condition from destroying my life. So I really had to buckle down, I did pretty well I was losing weight eating fairly healthy but then the new year came. In January I lost my youngest cousin, then my dream job, In February I lost my Step-grandmother, and then in March, I lost my father. Needless to say my 2017 was not going so great and I stopped going to the gym, I stopped eating healthy, there was a lot of crying and of course, my weight went up. By April I was back in school working on my Master Degree, and finally, after months and months of trying to pull myself to live again I worked up the energy to come back to MFP and really buckle down. For 25 days now I have been logging my food, and going to the gym at least 3 times a week, on the days I don't I find home workouts to do. What I am hoping will come of this post is two things, one, I am hoping to make more friends that are committed and willing to help each other succeed, and two, to share my story with others and show that anyone can overcome anything. Feel free to send me a friend request or even a message if you are looking for a committed friend. We are all here for one reason or another when you are not alone it is so much easier. Good luck to all on their MFP journey.

Hey there nicole sorry to hear your year being so crappy but i can relate...i was healthy for the longest but the death of my father and murder of my sister just sent me into spiraling worls of depression gave up a healthy lifestyle and turned into a alcoholic using that to basically cheer me up so to speak....but after realizing life was more precious and valuable than to throw it away like that here i am back on track sober and ready to grab life by the balls and ride it till the wheels fall off lol good luck in your journey and i pray you succeed3
