Losing fat

Hey! I recently lost over 18 pounds. I went from 171 to 152. I’ve been sticking to my diet but recently my weight has increased to 155 again and I don’t know why!! I’m planning on bodybuilding and I started off fairly fat ( I’m short too ) so I’m trying to diet off the rest of the fat before bulking up to add muscle. I will probably have to get close to 140 to remove the rest of my excess fat before bulking. I know that’s light for a guy but it will be worth it. I have to get low to be lean because I have a smaller frame and not a lot of muscle yet.
Should I be dropping my cals further? I’ve been eating 2000 but my weight loss has stalled now

How tall are you?
Lift now regardless. Even if you aren't building muscle while you lose, you'll help retain as much of it as possible.3
