Thanks, Laura

When I was going through a crazy chocolate craving, I wanted to make up something that helped with that but was on the healthier side as well. So I hit up the bulk section at my store and ....

    raw almonds
    raw cashews
    raw pumpkin kernels
    raw sunflower seeds
small amt of semi-sweet chocolate chips
small amt of dried cranberries and raisins

I just got a little bit of each ingredient and mixed it all together. Raw nuts are less processed and so..better for you...

This was incredibly satisfying for me. Good luck

that's hard, most trail mix are nut, dried fruit based and they are going to be high in calories, no matter what anyone says about good fat" a calorie is a calorie, and with trail mix you can easily eat way more then you realize. I'd stick to whole wheat crackers and peanut butter and take veggies that travel well..like carrots, celery, cucumber slices and cherry tomatoes...easy on the calories and way healthier.

this is a low carb recipe:

    1 cup roasted peanuts
1 cup raw or roasted almonds
1 cup pumpkin seeds (toasted is good)
    2 oz unsweetened coconut
½ cup raisins or currants (loosely-packed, not packed in tightly)

Good point..... I kinda got stuck on the "trail Mix" and wasn't really thinking low calorie.
