Hi! I have long been into exercising and am not fat. I'm a hair shy of 5'7" and weigh 149. However, I've gained 15 pounds in the last 6 years with 5 of those being just since I turned 50 in February. I travel a lot and find it hard to eat right but I don't go crazy at meal time.

I just need a good kick start to get about 8-10 pounds off and not gain anymore as I age. Any suggestions and inspiration are welcome!! Thanks!

I am right with you. I am 53. Complicated by a ski accident last year and had to have knee surgery. I am just getting back to the gym. I am cutting my calories and trying to firm up. I have always been very active and athletic. I have not been active for almost a year. But, I am back at it and remembering how much I love weights.
I just started drinking Bullet proof coffee that I make myself in the morning. Keeps me satisfied until lunch and has made it so much easier to stay within my daily calorie goal. I just started this on Monday and so far so good.

What is bullet proof coffee? I'm not a coffee drinker but have 20 lbs to lose and I will try it

With that small amount to lose, there's a thread title "relatively light people trying to get leaner." Do a search and read it, it has lots of information pertinent to your goals

Bullet proof coffee is regular coffee with coconut oil and grass fed butter or ghee in it. The fats keep me full until lunch. You have it in place of your breakfast. I started a thread yesterday on it. Gotten lots of comments, good and bad.
