Day off work and fluey

Just felt like moaning.
Sod's law. Been working a lot of hours recently and was getting a bit burnt out. Had some random leave days left to take so I'm off work today.
Woke up with raging headache, sore throat, total body pains, bad temper and major cereal cravings!
So been ranting in the forums and making my way through the cereal and peanut butter in my cupboard. Groan, sigh.
Oh and the sun seems to have disappeared too :cry: :cry:

    Just kidding. I always get depressed when I have a cold.
    Any (home) remedies people recommend? My mum swears by Vit C capsules but I can't stand them.

    I hope you feel better soon. Try herbal tea. My plan when I am sick is to drink about 6 cups of it. It slows down my eating of comfort foods.

    Chicken soup with lots of veggies. A big bowl of hot soup always makes me feel better.

    My flu remedy: mix cayenne pepper, cinnamon, cloves, honey,lemon juice and hot water.

    Hmm sounds spicy!!! Well tonight a friend thought a hot curry takeaway would do the trick and it did. Sinuses definitely cleared out now *sniff*
