How important is it to watch carb, fat and sugar intake?

I have been staying within my calorie goal, however sometimes I eat more carbs, fat or sugar than suggested. Will this hinder my weight loss efforts? I also exceed my needed protein sometimes.

Weight loss is all about calories. As long as you stay within your calorie goal you should lose weight, barring any medical conditions.
A lot of us think the protein default here is set too low. Protein helps repair sore muscles and helps to prevent muscle loss while you're losing. I'd never worry about going over on your protein macro.0 -

Also, I feel as though the sugar intake recorded for my daily calorie counts doesn't really reflect the healthiness of the foods we eat, assuming we eat a lot of fruits, which have tons of natural sugar.0

I eat plenty of fruit and very little processed sugar. Sometimes I will have a tablespoon of honey with my tea.0
