So we had our family Halloween party last night and I had to many carbs. I also had sugar for the 1st time in 2 weeks. I realized that I'm not really missing much. I'm o.k. without sugar..

Sometimes when I eat too much sugar, it leaves me craving more. I generally feel better when I don't over do the sugar but then sometimes fruit or other substitutes don't cut it and I want actual sugary stuff. I also tend to crave sugar stuff when I'm really tired. Seeking that quick jolt of energy I suppose. Kind of dammed if you, dammed if you don't.1

I haven't had sugar since June. Wanted some candy corn last weekend but just out of habit. Avoided it and all was well. Sugar's addictive af, but once the cord is thoroughly cut life's so much easier.4

You actually took a huge step forward by admitting you don't need it and aren't missing much now. So see it for what it was: a splurge. And start fresh. Guilt is only going to hold you back. You're human. Move forward.1
