Interesting research on IF

I know IF is very popular here although it works on CiCO as does everything else. However, some people cite additional benefits to this pattern of eating and I just came across an interesting study recently completed that corroborates it. Im not saying yay or neigh and I think whatever works for each individual is the thing to follow - I just know the community appreciates scientific references as well and thought I'd share. (Also i hope it doesn't break any community rules posting links to stuff like this)

TL/DR: some studies are finding evidence to support additional benefits of IF beyond weight loss.

No offense, but I didn't finding the article to be very insightful. Although I skimmed most of it.
It seemed like most of the science discussed in this article really just boiled down to comparing calorie restriction to eating ad libitum in lab rats.2 -
No offense taken . Like I said - it's not contridicitng CICO. What I found more interesting was it's connection with reversing certain disease including cardiovascular, insulin related diseases, neurodegenerative diseases , cancers etc. The weight loss is a side issue in this study as it was specifically looking at meal timing and frequency as it relates to these other issues. Considering most feel that IF accomplishes nothing more than restricting calories, but those who follow it swear to seeing other benefits, it's nice to see scientific study that seems to be finding some supporting evidence.1
