So I have a fit bit, charge 2 .. it tracks the amount of time I spend on the elliptical, it never matches my elliptical calorie counter. By a lot! My fit bit will day 400 but my machine says 800.
I usually go at a 3-4 resistance and I don't think the Fitbit counts for that.
What is the best method for you? Do you take the Fitbit off during the elliptical machine or what do you do?

The machine is just an estimate and they are notorious for overestimating calorie burn. I would never go by what the machine says.

The Fitbit is just an estimate too, but I have found it -- over time -- to be much more accurate than what the machines provide.

800 on an elliptical would be a really high calorie burn. I wouldn't go with that.

Most machines overestimate calorie burns by a lot.

Your Fitbit is basing it off of your heart rate, so I would trust that more than the machine
