Dealing with stress

How do you stop yourself from stress eating or having that relaxing cocktail?

    I try not to keep foods that I can't control my intake of in the house. If I am stressed I will make an effort to do some exercise, a walk or a run to get me out and about and keep me away from the kitchen.

    Go on YouTube and search relaxation. Try a guided meditation. Try yoga. Try relaxing music.

    Seems like at least half the world is trying to relax.

    That's interesting - I just heard that we in the western world are healthier, wealthier, and have more liberties than our predecessors, yet we have an epidemic (20% increase) in depression and anxiety.

    I found 3 minute videos on mindful meditation. I'll try that. Thank you.

    Actually, I plan my calorie intake to allow a glass of wine in the evening. Taking a walk outside before dinner helps, too. It de-stresses me and helps with sleep.

    LAUGH! the best way to get rid of stress. and then when you reduce stress, you reduce cortisol which causes weight gain. find funny videos or funny movie or just fake laugh until you really laugh. works every time.
