Was here in '13 and successfully tracked and dropped 30#. However life has sent me through the ringer the last few years and now it's back. Bah! It's either MFP or a pant size upgrade. Not emotionally ready for the latter. Feeling generally lethargic and need a challenge. Seems like the right time to jump back into this game. Thank god for the internet.

Looking for a few friends to interact with here, cheer on, celebrate -- keep me accountable for checking in, keeping on, you know the drill. Would love to make this a game! Any ideas?

My background is in cooking, and also hold a degree in nutrition. I love to contribute my knowledge and help people maneuver around the sea of info out in the world re: food!

    Hah! I wouldn't. I much prefer real wholesome saturated fats from healthy animals over hydrogenated oils that are closer to plastic than food. Go with a cultured butter, or something from grass-fed cows, get all those good micronutrients and magic! When you eat cake, eat the best damn cake -- then load up on veggies tomorrow, eh? That is my VERY unprofessional opinion. ;)
