Felt a bit ill yesterday and it was over 92 F, so i did not run. It was a beautiful 62 F today, so even though i did not eat enough yesterday and was feeling a little empty, I knew i should get a run in. i got about 2.25 miles in today. my times were slower than in the past, but I am ok with that. I was never a sprinter in my youth, but we ran a great deal in training for the sports I did play. I could run 400 meters in less than 60 sec back then (not much faster, but a sec or two.), now i dont think i could finish it in 90 sec. I do understand that I was 30 years younger back then, but it is an eye opener. mile 1: 14:14. mile 2 : 14:16. Got to keep working, but must stay wise and look at the big picture.

Some days give better results than others, but that's ok. The main thing is to stay consistent within reason (without going to extremes like running when you're ill or injured.)
