Hi There,

I am about to turn 40. I have been pretty active my whole life, and never really had to worry about weight loss or calorie counting before. I have 3 kids (youngest is 4) and while I gained A LOT of weight with each baby, it all came off pretty easily over a year or so. In the past 2 years though I have gained 20 lbs. and am really struggling to lose the weight. For the first time in my life I am calorie counting, and to my surprise am having a really hard time meeting my 1,700 calories goal. I am exercising at least 3 times per week and ride once or twice a week. I am trying hard to eat more protein and less processed carbs. Looking to add friends in a similar position as me, with similar goals!

Thanks!

hi I had recently gained a lot of weight after having Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome ( 4 yrs ago) I need months of physical therapy and had such a hard time trying to exercise. But fortunately I found a gym that has helped me get back into really exercising doing a lot of curcuit training 3-4 times a wk and I have also adjusted my eating. At first it was really hard to cut out a lot of the processed foods I used to eat and to cut out diet coke switch to mostly water to drink the more I forced it the easier it was. I was and still am very careful not to do all or nothing. So i still have some sort of treat every day and will have a diet coke here and there when i am out at at restaurant. I have lost 36 lbs in about 19 wks I try to tell myself the things in the middle of the grocery store is just a bunch of chemical goulash mushed to together to make you crave more junk :)
